Descendants of Andrew SHANKIE & Jane STEVENS

Andrew and Jane's were married and raised their children in Glasgow. Their son Andrew married Margaret Cunningham in 1865 and in 1871 they adopted Margaret 'Maggie' FARMER, the illigitamite child of Agnes FARMER. Andrew died shorty after and through a series of misfortunes. when she was only 11, Maggie became a ward of the City Orphans Home in Glasgow and shortly thereafter she found herself on board a ship to Canada.

Ken MacSTEPHEN was born and raised in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. He married married Ruth WARD, also a native of 'The County' Ken currently lives in Toronto, Ontario and is a direct descendant of Maggie SHANKEY (FARMER), see his Pedigree Chart.
